Workshops
Dates for Summer 2025:
28 June - 5 July: Painting (landscape/still life) - Watson
5 July - 19 July: Advanced Fiction workshop - Camatsos
19 July - 26 July: Painting (still life) - Watson
30 Aug - 6 Sept: Portrait painting for beginners - Watson
6 Sept - 13 Sept: How to write and publish a novel - Turner
13 Sept - 23 Sept: Portrait masterclass - Watson
We cater for every skill level, from absolute beginner to semi professional. In fact, we welcome those who are quick to say, "I can't paint/write", because we believe that with the correct guidance, everyone can access their hidden creativity.
Our proposed framework for the workshops includes 3 hours of tuition per day.
The main class for the week-long courses will run from 9am until 12pm, Monday to Friday. In the afternoons, the teachers will be available for discussions, private tutorials, painting outdoors, or any help you may need regarding your work. On some evenings we may also have guest lecturers.
Alternatively, you could just extend your lunch at the seaside taverna, drink yet another ouzo, and watch the sun sinking into the sea (whilst contemplating your art projects, of course!).
We will provide all the necessary material for the courses; we will be working with oil on canvas and/or charcoal on paper.
We also offer artist / writer residencies and student concessions for the courses. Please contact us for more information.
PRICING
The cost for each workshop is 1600 euros per week. This includes 7 nights accommodation (see below) in single occupancy rooms with breakfast, a welcome dinner and guided tour of the Petrified Forest Museum, all requisite art and writing materials for the course, and tuition for 5 days. It also includes transportation from/to Mytilini airport or port to Sigri.
It does not include cost of travel to Mytilini, Greece, daily meals, and other personal expenditures.
If you want to share your room with your partner who will not be participating in the workshops, there will be a 250 euro surcharge per week. This will include the room, breakfasts, the welcome dinner, and the guided museum tour.
